From a JKUAT lecture hall to 500+ farms across East Africa — AgriVolt was born from two students who refused to wait for permission to fix African agriculture.
Vincent Kamau and Anthony Ngotho met as students at JKUAT, where they immersed themselves in precision agriculture, irrigation engineering, climate-smart farming, and modern agribusiness systems. Inspired by Kenya's smart-farming research community and a growing wave of African agribusiness innovation, the duo studied the field deeply — and saw a truth too uncomfortable to ignore.
"Africa doesn't lack farmers. Africa lacks modern farming systems, irrigation access, and practical agricultural knowledge."
While their classmates lined up for job applications, Vincent and Anthony went the other way — straight into the field. They visited farms across Central, Rift Valley, and Eastern Kenya. They listened to smallholders explain why their boreholes ran dry mid-season. They watched commercial growers waste water on inefficient systems. They saw greenhouse projects fail because nobody followed up after installation.
So they built AgriVolt to fix it.
What started as a two-person consultancy is now an East African agribusiness venture engaging and supporting over 500 farmers — and growing fast. On the ground, we're known for one thing above all else: we show up, we execute, and we stay.
From one-acre smallholders to thousand-hectare estates — every farmer deserves modern tools to grow more with less.
Africa's farmers growing more with less water, less energy, less waste — and earning more from every season.
JKUAT-trained agricultural engineer with deep expertise in precision irrigation system design and on-farm execution. Vincent leads AgriVolt's technical delivery, project engineering, and farmer training programs — bringing engineering rigour to every project from concept to commissioning.
JKUAT-trained agricultural engineer specialising in smart farming systems, agribusiness development, and climate-smart agriculture. Anthony leads AgriVolt's strategy, partnerships, and growth — turning relationships into real impact across East Africa.
Together, Vincent and Anthony represent a new generation of Kenyan agribusiness leaders — bringing technical depth, entrepreneurial energy, and unrelenting execution to one of Africa's most critical industries.
We're AgriVolt — built on the belief that the future of African farming runs on clean energy, smart water, and engineering precision. Where others sell pipes and walk away, we engineer outcomes.
Every system we design considers clean energy from day one. We lead with solar where others bolt it on as an afterthought.
We're grounded in Kenya's strongest agricultural engineering tradition — and we bring that rigour to every farm we touch.
We're in the field, not the office. Real visits. Real soil checks. Real conversations with the people who'll use what we build.
We don't sell equipment. We engineer measurable yield, water savings, and ROI you can defend on paper.
We stay long after commissioning. Crop-cycle reviews, training, and after-sales support are baked into how we work.
Solar power, water stewardship, regenerative practices, and climate-resilient design are baked into how we work — by default.
Whether you're planning a farm transformation, a county program, or a single greenhouse — we'd love to hear what you're building.
